Jio is coming in Video Conferencing market to take down other competitors(Google meet,zoom cloud,Skype,etc.) & has annouced launch of their native app called JIO MEET. Jio parent company Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) revealed its plans to launch the JioMeet on Thursday. The new platform will take on the likes of other competitors , all of which have gained popularity during the coronavirus lockdowns in India and around the world. However, JioMeet won't be entirely new as Jio attempted to bring a similar video conferencing solution in the past as well like Jio Group Talk , JIOChat,etc.
Where will it be available?
Jio will bring JioMeet that would be available across Android and iOS devices as well as on Windows and macOS computers. The video conferencing solution will also be accessible on Outlook through a plugin or even via Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, reports Hindustan Times. It is also claimed to offer an HD-quality experience across devices. Also the user have to login via Email ID or can join as a guest. JIOMEET can support 5 users in free plan while up-to 100 users on Business Plan at a time.
