MI 10 , Overpriced Beast ????
Yesterday Xaiomi has launched its new device named MI 10 alongwith other two products, MI True Wireless Earphones 2 & MI TV Box 4K. It was supposed to be lauched earlier but due to Covid 19 it came late.
Below are the Key Specs of the Device :
The device comes with 6.67 inch FHD+ Amoled display with 3D curved design. This phone houses latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Soc with Liquid Cool 2.0 technology with Graphene Cooling system. This will keep the device cool even while doing heavy tasks like video recording or gaming.
This device has quad camera setup at the rear with 108MP Main camera alongwith 13 MP Ultra Wide angle camera , 2MP Depth sensor & 2MP Macro lens. The main camera supports OIS(Optical Image Stabilisation) while infront it has 20 MP front shooter which has support for both 1080P at 30 fps and 720P at 30 fps. Rear camera supports upto 8K video with 30 fps.
The MI 10 comes with LPDDR5 Ram which is good in terms of performance and UFS 3.0 storage.
MI 10 has 4780 mah of battery which is descent and should last you a day with moderate usage. On charging front this device has support for 30W wired as well as 30W wireless charging which is significantly fast , especially the wireless charging. It also has support for 15W reverse charging.
Mi 10 is 5g ready device with Qualcomm X55 modem inbuilt.
MY Opinion and Comparison with One Plus 8 pro :
Though the specs are beast and offer great value but the device is overpriced in my frank opinion. First of all the nearest competitor is OnePlus with its 8 Pro which offers better value at 55,000. One Plus 8 pro has a Quad HD screen which a buyer will consider over the normal displays, if you are chargin this much then you should have opted for Quad hd screen.
Secondly, One Plus 8 pro has Quad camera setup with more of efficient and sense making setup. It has Primary Sensor 48MP alongwith 48 MP ultrawide shooter & 3x Hybrid Zoom lense of 13 MP while Mi 10 offers 108MP primary and 13MP ultrawide and the rest two lenses which Mi 10 is offering is useless at that price point. Many budget devices give that setup of 2MP macro and depth sensor.
Third, One Plus 8 pro has 120 Hz display and IP67 rating.
Fourth, Brand value & Software experience. We all know Oxygen Os is great when it comes to user experience and the features it provides along with speed. MIUI on the other hand is now becoming more advertisement ROM rather than android ROM. Many users are annoyed with this ads situation and the vulgarity in the ads which has started coming nowadays,which has already let down the reputation of the MIUI.
So, by taking all this in mind should you opt for Mi10 Or you should spend some more and get Oneplus 8 Pro?
So in my frank opinion the device is overpriced and for the Indian Market its a very bad pricing. Though the device is good with specs but the price for Indian market is high especially if you have brands like Oneplus sitting next to you. Its not a good idea to go buy this device unless you are a Mi Fan , Still Oneplus 8pro offer way more than this device.
If you cant go till Oneplus 8 pro then come down at other options like Realme x50 pro at 39,999 or IQOO 3 at 35,000.
