Honor 9X PRO (Smartphone with no Google Play Services):
Honor 9X Pro smartphone was launched in July 2019 Globally(Specifically in China). The phone comes with a 6.59-inch touchscreen IPS display at 60 Hz with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels at a pixel density of 391 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Honor 9X Pro is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor which very powerful budget processor with antutu benchmark of about 225000 which is greater than Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G.
It comes in one variant with 6GB Ram & 256GB Storage with expanding capacity upto 512GB which makes it the only device to have this much storage below RS17000 mark as Base variant.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Honor 9X Pro packs a 48-megapixel rear primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a pixel size of 1.6-micron( descent enough for low light photography); a second 2-megapixel depth camera with an f/2.4 aperture for bokeh or potrait photography; a third 8-megapixel wide angle camera with an 2-micron aperture. It sports a 16-megapixel pop up camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.2 aperture which is descently fast.
The Honor 9X Pro runs EMUI 9.1 based on Android Pie with update upto Android 10. The Honor 9X Pro measures 163.10 x 77.20 x 8.80mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 206.00 grams. It was launched in Midnight Black and Phantom Purple colours.
Connectivity options on the Honor 9X Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.20, USB Type-C, Headphones, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
"Point to note is that this device doesn't come with Google Play Services, that means it wont be having google apps like gmail, google playstore , etc. However, they have provide their own service called HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) which has library of apps similar to Google Playstore, but the app developers can or cannot be same on both platforms. Also, if you dont want to use HMS service you can sideload the apps by downloading APKs form google. This is one of the main reasons why most of the people won't opt for this smartphone though it has good Specs underneath".
This device is good for gaming at budget price segment and PUBG runs well on this device alongwith other day to day tasks.
As of 20th May 2020, Honor 9X Pro price in India starts at Rs. 14,999. But after the introductory offer the price of the phone will be 17,999. Next Early access sale is on May 21,2020 12 P.M.
