Today we are going to look at the Best budget smartphones under 10,000 in India. There are number of smartphones under 10,000 but we will be looking at the best value for money and targeting specific sections like display, camera, battery & processing. One thing to mention don't keep high expectations from camera and gaming, phones under 10,000 are basically for casual use and average to good multitasking with some casual gaming.
Below are the offerings from Redmi, Realme, Samsung, Micromax, Poco, Motorola and a Wild card entry which was launched recently.
Best smartphones under 10,000 :
Realme Narzo 30A :
Realme Narzo 30A comes with 6.51 inch HD+ IPS LCD display with dew drop notch on top. The Realme Narzo 30A has a dual pattern of sorts with the bottom
two-thirds having diagonal lines, while the upper section is plain. You
also get a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that is well-positioned and
easy to reach. The side-mounted power and volume buttons are
conveniently placed too.
This device is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 paired with 3GB or 4GB ram, it supports both 32GB or 64GB internal storage with expansion up-to 256GB via SD card. Helio G85 will do all the basic tasks with ease and will help in casual gaming with low to medium settings.
Realme Narzo 30A has a massive
6,000 mAh battery inside and
18W fast charging support. 6,000 mAh will easily lasts you a
full day of use and if you are a casual user then it can give up-to
1.5-2 Days worth of battery life.
Now comes the cameras, this device has dual camera setup with 13MP + 2MP shooters. Photos from 13MP comes out to be average, nothing special but decent enough for casual photography. It also has 8MP front shooter with beauty mode, which provides a decent amount of details and image quality for the price. Certainly good in comparison to the rear camera.
Realme Narzo 30A is priced at 7,999 for 32GB variant while 8,999 for 64GB variant.
Moto G10 Power :
The Moto G10 Power is a new big-battery smartphone from Motorola,
priced just on the cusp of Rs. 9,999. It certainly looks much better
than the Moto E7 Plus thanks to the diagonal 3D texture on the back. On
the other hand, the HD+ IPS LCD display looks unmistakably low-budget, with
jagged edges visible on icons and slight colour banding in some
gradients in photos.
Moto G10 Power has Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 Soc under the hood. This processor is decent enough for day to day tasks and casual gaming. Snapdragon 460 Soc paired with 6,000 mAh will give you amazing battery life and easily lasts you full typical working day and max up-to 2 days if you are casual user.
This device will be the first choice for those who want stock and bloatware free device. This device provides you with a clean interface with Android 11 out of the box. It also has other Moto features like chop chop for camera and twisting the wrist twice for flashlight.
Moto G10 Power has Quad Camera setup in the rear with 48 MP main shooter with 8MP Ultra wide & 2MP + 2MP Macro and Depth sensor. The photos from 48MP comes out to be good and has details and is much better than Realme Narzo 30A, Micromax in 1b, etc. Although, low light quality is just average and can be tweaked a bit with Night Mode setting on.
Compared to the Moto E7 Plus,
the Moto G10 Power offers better battery life and quicker charging.
However, if you're looking for better gaming or system performance at
this price level, then the Realme Narzo 30A could be a good alternative.
Poco M2 Reloaded :
Poco M2 Reloaded comes with 6.53 inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with dew drop notch in front. Poco M2 Reloaded is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 Octa Core processor paired with 4GB ram. Helio G80 will do all your multitasking fine and can be stressed a little with more processor hungry apps but it will be difficult to play high end titles like PUBG and COD in this device. As Helio G85 is better than G80 thus it is better for gaming( Realme Narzo 30A).
Poco M2 Reloaded has
5000 mAh underneath with support for
18W fast charging. This battery will last for full typical day with ease.
This phone runs on Android 10 out of the box. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Poco M2 Reloaded on the rear
packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture; an
8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a 5-megapixel camera with
an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The rear camera setup has auto focus. It sports an 8-megapixel camera on

Redmi 9 Prime :
Redmi 9 Prime is an alternative to Redmi 9i and Poco M2 Reloaded with Redmi banner. Poco M2 Reloaded and Redmi prime looks kind of similar with a circular ring on the back on Redmi 9 prime. Redmi 9 prime comes with a matte finish poly carbonate back panel.
Redmi 9 Prime is powered by Helio G80 paired with 4GB LPDDR4X Ram with 64GB or 128GB storage . This device will give you a decent performance and there will be no problem in basic multi-tasking. This device comes with 6.53 FHD+ IPS LCD display which dew drop notch. The display quality and the viewing angle is very good for the price.
It has 5000 mAh battery which will last decent enough for the whole day and even more if you are a casual user. It also has 18W fast charging support. It is running on Android 10 software out of the box.
Redmi 9 Prime has Quad camera setup with 13MP primary shooter, 8MP Ultra wide, 5MP Macro and 2MP Depth sensor. It also has 8MP front camera which is OK for casual selfies. Camera performance is average to decent considering the price point. Poco M2 Reloaded is way better in camera than Redmi 9 Prime.
Micromax 1b :
Micromax In 1b is for those who want a clean UI experience and made in India smartphone. Micromax and Samsung are the only smartphone brand which provides a non-Chinese smartphones in budget.
Micromax In 1b smartphone was launched on 3rd November 2020. The
phone comes with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of
720x1600 pixels. Micromax In 1b is powered
by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM.
The Micromax In 1b runs Android 10 (Go edition) and is powered by a
5000mAh non-removable battery. The Micromax In 1b supports proprietary
fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Micromax
In 1b on the rear packs a
13-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8
aperture, and a
2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has auto focus. It sports an
8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
Micromax
In 1b is based on Android 10 (Go edition) and packs 32GB of inbuilt
storage that can be expanded via micro-SD card (up to 128GB) with a
dedicated slot. The Micromax In 1b is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
It has dual camera setup and for the price this 13MP primary camera gives good image quality and details but don't expect wonders from these setup. It also has 8MP front camera which is just OK.
Connectivity options on the Micromax In 1b include WI-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone
include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity
sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
Samsung M02s :
Samsung Galaxy M02s is another option for those consumers who want non-Chinese smartphone. This is the only decent offering by Samsung in the sub 10,000 price range.
Samsung Galaxy M02s smartphone comes with a 6.50-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of
720x1600 pixels. Samsung Galaxy M02s is powered by an octa-core
Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. Snapdragon 450 provides very okay-ish performance and you can't do much Multi tasking in it. Its only suitable for casual usage and is less powerful than the Snapdragon 460 Soc. It comes with 3GB of RAM. The Samsung
Galaxy M02s runs Android 10 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy M02s on the
rear packs a 13-megapixel primary camera; a 2-megapixel camera, and a
2-megapixel camera. Both 2MP cameras are rubbish and useless and same goes for all other smartphones which I have listed in this blog. It sports a 5-megapixel camera on the front for
selfies with an f/2.2 aperture. Rear camera shoots decent pictures with good details and colours. Samsung is known for its colour science and camera tuning, which is applicable here also. Selfie of this smartphone is not great for the price.
The Samsung Galaxy M02s runs One
UI is based on Android 10 and packs 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be
expanded via micro SD card (up to 512GB). It was launched in Black, Blue,
and Red colours.
Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy M02s include Wi-Fi, GPS, and FM radio.
As of 15th June 2021, Samsung Galaxy M02s price in India starts at Rs. 8,999.
