Android 12: How to Install Android 12 without root, Custom recovery & Wiping Data.

Android 12 was released back in 18th May, 2021 and till now 3 beta software are released with the latest update of beta 3 in 23rd June, 2021. Android 12 comes with a new refreshing materialistic design with new features and customization support. You can get information about the features and new things regarding Android 12 in my previous  blog post link.

Today I am going to tell you how you can Install or Run Android 12 in your device which is running on Android 11 without Root, Custom Recovery & Wiping Data. You will be able to use both your stock Android and Android 12 as dual boot. There will be no data loss, also the app data will be intact as it was before.

"I have tested this on my Redmi device which is running on MIUI skin with Android 11 and it successfully booted into Android 12 and I can switch back to my stock skin anytime I want by just one click".

Only one pre-requisite is that you should have your Bootloader unlocked for this to work. Without Bootloader unlocked you can try this but it will take up-to 10-15 times which is a waste of time and internet data.

Steps :

1. First you need to go to your Developers Option in the setting( can be there in  Additional Setting or Just in Settings Menu). If you don't have your Developer Options enabled, then go to about phone. Press Android Version 6-7 times or MIUI version in Redmi and Xiaomi Devices and it will say you are now a Developer.

2. Make sure you have sufficient data available as it requires data to download files( keep in between 2-3GB of data).

3. Now go to Developer Options.

4. Scroll Down and go to DSU Loader.

5. Select GSI+GMS ARM 64.

6. Then it will download the files automatically and you will get notification like below.

7. Then click on Restart and it will boot you into Android 12.

You can go to Stock OS by similarly tapping on Restart from Android 12 as shown above.

Note : If your device gets stuck for more than 5 minutes in Boot screen, Press power button and force reboot in Stock OS and try again. If problem still persist then there might be problem with compatibility of the device with the GSI. So hard luck for you. I am not responsible for any damage of your device.
